Welcome to UPI QR Studio
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the UPI QR Studio website, its QR code generation tools, and its informational content. By accessing or using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the website.
These terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy and, where relevant, our Safety Center.
Acceptance of These Terms
By visiting, browsing, or using any feature of UPI QR Studio, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and agree to comply with them and applicable law.
If you use the website on behalf of a business or another person, you represent that you are authorised to do so. You remain responsible for ensuring that your use complies with these terms.
Eligibility and Permitted Access
UPI QR Studio is intended for general public use. If you are under 18, you should use the website with the involvement and guidance of a parent or legal guardian, where appropriate under applicable law.
You may use the website for lawful personal, educational, or business purposes, subject to these terms. You must not use the website in a way that violates applicable laws, payment-system rules, intellectual property rights, or the rights of others.
Our Website and Services
UPI QR Studio is designed to provide tools for generating UPI payment QR codes and educational information about UPI, QR code usage, and payment safety.
Depending on the features available at a given time, the website may offer:
- A tool to create QR codes using details entered by the user.
- Options to preview or download generated QR code images.
- Guides, FAQs, safety information, and other educational material.
- Additional free or paid features that may be introduced in the future.
Features may be added, changed, limited, or withdrawn. We will not treat a feature as available merely because it is described as a possible future feature in these terms.
UPI QR Studio is not a bank, payment service provider, payment aggregator, or official UPI operator merely by providing these tools or information. Do not assume that the website processes payments or verifies bank accounts.
QR Code Generation and Downloads
4.1 Details entered by you
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the information you enter into the QR generator, including any UPI ID, payee name, amount, or payment note that the tool supports.
4.2 Browser-based processing
The QR generator is intended to create QR codes within your browser. Under the current design, the details entered into the QR generator are processed locally and are not intentionally sent to the UPI QR Studio application server as part of QR generation. This statement must be updated if the technical implementation changes.
Your browser, hosting provider, analytics tools, advertising partners, or other third-party technologies may separately process technical information as described in our Privacy Policy.
4.3 Verify before sharing or paying
Always inspect the generated QR code and verify the recipient's UPI ID, displayed name, amount, and other payment details before sharing it or authorising a payment. Where possible, scan the QR code with a trusted UPI application and check the details displayed by that application before proceeding.
4.4 No payment confirmation
Creating, previewing, or downloading a QR code does not transfer money, confirm that a payment has been received, validate the recipient's bank account, or guarantee that a payment will succeed. Payment processing and confirmation occur through the relevant UPI application, bank, or payment service.
4.5 Downloaded files
If the website offers QR code downloads, you are responsible for checking the downloaded file and ensuring that it displays and scans correctly before printing, publishing, or distributing it.
Your Responsibilities
When using UPI QR Studio, you agree to:
- Enter information that you are authorised to use and share.
- Check QR code content carefully before using or distributing it.
- Use the website only for lawful purposes.
- Protect your UPI PIN, passwords, OTPs, banking credentials, and other confidential information.
- Never disclose a UPI PIN or OTP to someone claiming that it is needed to receive money.
- Check payment requests and the recipient details in your trusted payment application.
- Keep your own copies of any files or information you need.
- Respect the rights, security, and lawful interests of other users and third parties.
UPI QR Studio does not need your UPI PIN, bank password, or OTP to generate an ordinary UPI QR code. Do not enter sensitive banking credentials into the generator or into any unexpected form on the website.
Prohibited Activities
You must not use the website to:
- Create, distribute, or use QR codes intended to deceive people or redirect payments fraudulently.
- Impersonate a person, merchant, business, bank, government body, or payment service.
- Facilitate fraud, scams, money laundering, unlawful collections, or other illegal activities.
- Use another person's UPI ID, identity, logo, or other information without proper authority.
- Upload, transmit, or distribute malicious code or content designed to compromise devices or systems.
- Attempt unauthorised access to the website, its hosting environment, or related systems.
- Interfere with website operation, bypass security measures, or abuse the service through automated requests.
- Copy, resell, or commercially exploit website content or software except as permitted by law or with appropriate permission.
- Use the website in a manner that infringes another person's legal rights.
We may take reasonable steps to protect the website, users, and third parties where we reasonably suspect misuse, subject to applicable law.
Payments and Future Features
The website is currently intended to provide free tools and information. We may introduce optional paid services, premium tools, or other commercial features in the future.
If a paid feature is introduced, its price, scope, applicable taxes, payment terms, renewal conditions (if any), and cancellation or refund rules should be disclosed before you make a purchase. Any additional terms shown during checkout will apply to that purchase to the extent permitted by law.
These terms do not mean that a paid service, subscription, account system, or recurring payment feature is currently available.
Third-Party Services and External Links
The website may rely on third-party infrastructure or technologies, such as hosting providers, analytics services, advertising providers, or external websites. Links may also be provided to banks, payment applications, official resources, and other websites for convenience or information.
Third-party websites and services are governed by their own terms, privacy notices, and practices. Unless expressly stated otherwise, we do not control and are not responsible for their availability, content, security, policies, or actions.
Google AdSense advertising is planned but is not represented as currently active. If advertising or other third-party features are introduced, the website's disclosures and settings should be updated as required.
A link or advertisement does not necessarily represent an endorsement, partnership, or guarantee by UPI QR Studio. Exercise care before visiting an external site, downloading software, or providing information to another service.
Privacy and Technical Information
Your use of the website is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how information may be handled, including technical information and information processed by third-party services.
Although QR generation is intended to occur locally in your browser, that does not automatically mean that no technical information is processed anywhere during your visit. Hosting logs, analytics, cookies, and third-party technologies may operate separately, depending on the website's actual configuration and your settings.
Please do not submit sensitive financial credentials or unnecessary personal information through any website form. Review the Privacy Policy for further details and available choices.
Availability and Changes to the Website
We aim to keep the website accessible and useful, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or continuous availability. Access may be interrupted for maintenance, technical problems, hosting issues, security reasons, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We may update, improve, restrict, suspend, or discontinue features or parts of the website. Where appropriate and practicable, we may provide notice of significant changes, but we do not guarantee advance notice in every circumstance.
You are responsible for maintaining suitable device, browser, connectivity, and security settings to access the website.
Disclaimers
The website and its tools and informational content are provided on an “as available” basis, subject to rights and protections that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
We aim to provide useful information, but we do not guarantee that every guide, example, generated QR code, or other content is complete, accurate, current, compatible with every payment application, or suitable for every situation.
UPI QR Studio does not guarantee that a QR code will be accepted by every application, that a UPI ID is active or belongs to the intended recipient, or that a transaction will be authorised, completed, or reversed successfully.
Website content is for general informational purposes and is not financial, legal, tax, banking, or professional advice. Verify important information with your bank, payment service provider, or an appropriate qualified professional.
Nothing in these terms excludes a consumer right, statutory protection, or other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, UPI QR Studio and the people responsible for operating it will not be liable for losses arising from:
- Incorrect, incomplete, or unauthorised details entered by a user.
- A QR code being scanned, interpreted, printed, or used incorrectly.
- Payments sent to an unintended recipient or made using incorrect payment details.
- Bank, UPI application, network, device, or third-party service failures.
- Temporary unavailability, technical errors, or interruptions of the website.
- A user's reliance on general informational content without independent verification.
- Unauthorised activity caused by a user's failure to protect their own device, accounts, or credentials.
You should verify all payment information before authorising a transaction. If you suspect an incorrect or fraudulent payment, contact your bank or payment service provider promptly and follow the appropriate official reporting process.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including any non-excludable statutory rights or protections under Indian law.
Responsibility for Claims
If your unlawful use of the website or your violation of these terms causes a third-party claim, you may be responsible for the consequences to the extent provided by applicable law. This includes misuse of another person's identity, payment details, intellectual property, or other protected rights.
This section does not require you to waive rights or accept responsibility where applicable law does not permit it.
Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the website at any time. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to all or part of the website where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, prevention of misuse, legal compliance, or other legitimate operational reasons, subject to applicable law.
Sections that by their nature should continue to apply after you stop using the website, including relevant disclaimers, liability provisions, and governing-law provisions, will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of India, subject to applicable conflict-of-law principles and mandatory legal protections.
Any dispute relating to the website or these terms will be handled by the courts or other competent forums that have jurisdiction under applicable law. Nothing in this section removes a consumer's right to approach a forum or authority where that right is protected by law.
This clause is a general starting point and should be reviewed by an Indian legal professional before publication, particularly if you intend to specify an exclusive court jurisdiction or dispute-resolution process.
Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms and Conditions when the website, features, legal requirements, or operating practices change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
Your continued use of the website after updated terms are published may indicate acceptance where recognised by applicable law. If you do not agree with the revised terms, you should stop using the website.
