PRIVACY & TRANSPARENCY

Privacy Policy

We aim to make UPI QR generation simple and privacy-conscious. Learn how information is handled when you use UPI QR Studio, visit our pages, or interact with third-party services.

Our Privacy Approach

UPI QR Studio is designed to generate QR codes directly in your browser. The UPI details entered into our QR generator are intended to be processed on your device and are not intentionally sent to our own server by the QR-generation feature.

We do not maintain a database intended to store the UPI details or other form entries you submit to the QR generator. However, the hosting platform, Google Analytics, and advertising services may process technical or usage information as described below.

This policy applies to visitors worldwide. Certain privacy rights and requirements depend on your location and the applicable law.

01

About This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how UPI QR Studio handles information when you access our website, use our QR generator, read our guides, or follow links to external services.

UPI QR Studio is an independent website. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, it is not a bank, payment processor, payment service provider, or an official website operated by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).

By visiting the website, you can review this policy to understand our intended practices and the roles of the third-party services used on the website. Where consent is legally required, simply visiting the site does not replace the need to obtain that consent.

02

Information We Handle

Information You Enter Into the QR Generator

The QR generator is designed to process the information you enter, such as a UPI ID, payee name, and optional payment amount, within your browser.

We do not intentionally transmit these QR-generator entries to our own server or maintain a database of them through the QR-generation feature. This statement does not apply to information you independently submit to an external website or service.

Information We Do Not Intentionally Request

The QR generator does not need your UPI PIN, banking password, card PIN, or OTP to create a QR code. Never enter these authentication details into the generator.

Technical Information

When you visit a website, technical information may be processed by the infrastructure and services that deliver the page. Depending on the configuration, this can include:

  • IP address and request timestamps.
  • Browser type, device information, and operating system.
  • Requested pages, referral information, and error logs.
  • Cookie identifiers or similar online identifiers.
  • Aggregated or event-level website usage information.

This website package does not currently include an active Google Analytics tag. The hosting platform and any enabled third-party services may still process technical data as described by their own documentation. If analytics is added later, this policy must be reviewed before that tag is enabled.

Important distinction: We do not intend to store the QR-generator entries in our own database. That is not the same as guaranteeing that no technical data is processed by the browser, hosting platform, analytics provider, or advertising partners.
03

QR Code Generation and Local Processing

Our QR generator is intended to create QR codes directly in your browser. The UPI details you enter are used to construct the QR content on your device, rather than being sent to our own server for storage.

What This Means

  • We do not intentionally upload QR-generator form entries to our own backend.
  • We do not maintain a QR-generator database containing the UPI IDs and payment amounts entered by visitors.
  • The generated QR image may encode the details you entered. Anyone who obtains and scans that QR code may be able to read its encoded payment information.
  • Downloading or sharing a QR image may expose the information encoded in it to other people.

Browser and External Services

Your browser may temporarily hold entered values or generated content while the page is open. Browser extensions, screenshots, downloaded files, or other software on your device may also access information available to them.

Hosting, analytics, advertising, and other third-party scripts may process their own technical information when they load. This does not mean that the UPI details entered into the QR generator are intentionally sent to those services.

This description assumes that the published version of the QR generator continues to operate locally. If the implementation changes, this policy must be updated accordingly.

Payment safety: Creating a QR code does not itself complete or authorize a payment. Check the recipient name, UPI ID, and amount in your UPI application before approving a transaction. Never disclose your UPI PIN or OTP to another person.
04

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is not enabled in the current website package. If the site owner adds it later, this section describes the types of information that may be processed and must be reviewed against the actual settings before the analytics tag is activated.

When Google Analytics is enabled, Google may process information such as page views, interactions, browser and device details, approximate location derived from technical information, referral information, online identifiers, and IP-related data, depending on the configuration and settings used.

Analytics data may be used to produce reports about website traffic and engagement. The precise information processed depends on the Analytics features, tags, consent settings, and configuration deployed on the site.

We do not intend to send UPI QR-generator field values, UPI PINs, OTPs, or other payment authentication secrets to Google Analytics. We will configure the website accordingly and avoid putting sensitive values into page URLs, analytics events, or tracking parameters.

Learn more about Google's data practices in Google's Privacy Policy and its information about data use on partner sites.

Do not treat this section as confirmation that analytics is active. If analytics or another tracking tool is introduced, publish an updated disclosure that matches the deployed tags, settings and any consent controls before turning it on.

05

Google AdSense and Advertising

We plan to use Google AdSense to display advertisements on UPI QR Studio. At the time of this policy update, AdSense is planned and is not represented as already active.

If advertising is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, device or browser identifiers, and similar technologies to deliver advertisements, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, limit repeated ad impressions, and support advertising-related functions.

Personalized and Non-Personalized Ads

Depending on the user's location, available choices, applicable law, and the site's advertising configuration, advertisements may be personalized or non-personalized.

Personalized advertising may use information such as previous browsing activity or advertising identifiers to select ads considered more relevant to a user. Non-personalized advertising may still involve technical information and technologies needed for ad delivery, frequency management, measurement, and fraud prevention. The exact processing depends on Google's services and the settings in effect.

Third-Party Advertising Cookies

Google and other authorized advertising partners may place or read cookies on your browser, or use similar technologies, as a result of advertising on this website. These third parties may process information under their own privacy policies.

We do not control all of the data-processing activities performed by Google or its advertising partners. We do not claim that advertising services collect no information.

Manage Google Advertising Choices

You can review available Google advertising settings using Google Ads Settings. You can also manage cookies through your browser. Available choices may depend on your location and the services being used.

More information is available in Google's advertising technologies information and the Google AdSense cookie guidance.

We will update this section if the advertising providers, ad formats, or technologies used on the website change.

06

Cookies, Similar Technologies, and Consent

Cookies are small files stored by a website or service in your browser. Similar technologies may store or read information on your device or help recognize a browser.

Depending on the services enabled on UPI QR Studio, these technologies may be used for analytics, advertising, security, service functionality, and measurement.

Your Choices

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some website functionality, analytics, or advertising features. Browser controls alone may not cover every form of online tracking or device storage.

Where applicable law or Google's policies require consent, the website must obtain and respect the relevant choices before activating the technologies that require consent. A privacy policy by itself is not a substitute for a required consent mechanism.

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Google's publisher requirements include specific consent and disclosure obligations. We will configure an appropriate consent mechanism, including a Google-certified consent management platform where required for the advertising services used.

If a consent management tool is deployed, visitors should be able to review or change their choices using the controls provided by that tool.

We will not describe optional cookies as disabled or consent as implemented unless the live website has actually been configured and tested that way.

07

Hosting Providers and Third-Party Services

UPI QR Studio may rely on third-party infrastructure and services to publish pages, deliver website assets, measure usage, protect against abuse, and display ads.

These services may process technical information such as IP addresses, request details, browser information, and service logs as part of their operations.

Website Hosting and GitHub

Our website source code may be maintained in a private GitHub repository. Repository privacy is separate from the privacy of the deployed website: a private source repository does not make a published website private.

The hosting or deployment provider may process request information and technical logs when visitors access the live website. The provider's identity and relevant practices should be reviewed based on the final deployment configuration.

External Links

Our website may link to Google, NPCI, banks, UPI applications, and other external resources. When you follow an external link, the destination website's privacy policy and terms may apply. We do not control the independent privacy practices of those websites.

We encourage visitors to read the policies of any third-party service they choose to use.

08

Data Security and Retention

Because the QR generator is intended to process entered payment details locally, we do not intend to keep those entries in our own database. Temporary information may remain in your browser while the tool is in use.

Technical logs, analytics information, or advertising records may nevertheless be handled by the relevant hosting and third-party providers under their own configurations and retention practices.

We aim to use reasonable measures to maintain the website and protect it from unauthorized access or misuse. However, no website, browser, network, or electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Since different services control their own logs and records, their retention periods may differ. For information about data retained by Google, review Google's Privacy Policy and the applicable service documentation.

09

Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or information about personal data handled by a particular organization. You may also have rights to withdraw consent or object to certain processing.

Because UPI QR Studio does not intend to store QR-generator entries in its own database, we may not possess a copy of the details you entered into that tool. We cannot retrieve information that we do not hold.

If your request relates to Google Analytics, Google advertising, or the hosting platform, the relevant provider may need to handle the request according to its own processes and applicable law.

  • Review and manage cookies in your browser.
  • Review Google advertising settings where available.
  • Use the consent controls provided on the website, if applicable.
  • Contact us with a privacy question or request.

We may need enough information to understand and respond to a request, but you should not send your UPI PIN, password, OTP, or other authentication secrets.

10

Children's Privacy

UPI QR Studio is a general-purpose informational and QR-generation website and is not intended to encourage children to provide unnecessary personal information.

If you believe that personal information has been submitted through our contact channels in a way that raises a privacy concern, please contact us so that we can review the issue and take appropriate steps where required by applicable law.

Third-party services may apply their own age-related policies and controls.

11

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy when website functionality, hosting arrangements, analytics, advertising providers, or applicable legal requirements change.

The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date. Visitors should review this page periodically to understand the practices described in the current version.

If we introduce a new feature that changes how information is processed, we will review this policy and update it as appropriate before or when that feature is introduced.
